Why OutputShaper exists
Built from real operational problems
OutputShaper grew out of the need to manage recurring information work that had become too large, fragmented and rule-dependent to handle reliably by hand.
What began as internal ecommerce problem-solving developed into a broader source-to-output operating approach: acquire or receive information, structure it, compare it, apply agreed rules, handle exceptions, perform QA and deliver a usable result.
Today, OutputShaper applies that discipline to supplier and catalogue operations, research, monitoring, intelligence and structured reporting.
What guides the work
- Managed outcomes, not software for its own sake
- Human judgement where judgement belongs
- Controlled and authorised information sources
- Exceptions surfaced rather than guessed away
- QA before delivery
How OutputShaper works
OutputShaper manages the full path from source information to a controlled, usable result.
Source → Acquire → Structure → Compare → Apply Rules → Control Exceptions → QA → Deliver
Each stage has a purpose: understand where the information comes from, standardise it, compare what has changed, apply agreed business rules, isolate anything that needs judgement, check the result and only then produce the final output.
The aim is not to automate everything blindly. The aim is to automate what is deterministic, surface what needs review, and deliver something the business can actually use.
